Ann McAdams, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker


Ann is a compassionate LCSW with a mission to guide individuals through life's challenges and tap into their resiliency. Specializing in anxiety, depression, and mother/daughter bonds, Ann also supports clients through wellness coaching, cognitive behavioral therapy.

Her client focus spans from middle school and up, with a specialization in helping middle school aged children (ages 12-15) who struggle with feelings of not being loved as they needed to be, perfectionism, boundaries, and the desire for an enhanced spiritual connection through holistic care.

Ann also works with adult women who may be struggling with forming healthy relationships, managing their mood, depression, anxiety, and self-esteem.

Ann describes her therapeutic style as easy-going and flexible, employing creative tools like games and walking to create a comfortable environment. She is personable and believes in working on the "ANTS" (Automatic Negative Thoughts) to help clients focus on the positive aspects of life while healing.

Ann's work with parents encompasses a wide range of issues, including the importance of finding time for self-care amidst the demands of parenting. She understands the need for a supportive community where parents can process their own emotions, share experiences, and find solace in understanding peers. Ann is adept at addressing mood changes and providing a safe space for parents to explore and manage the emotional aspects of their journey.

Certified in CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Circle of Security, Girls Circle (Mother/Daughter, Girls' Circle), EFT, and Crisis Intervention, Ann brings a diverse set of skills to her practice. Her educational background includes an LCSW from UCONN, and her journey into social work began with a focus on helping first-time parents navigate the challenges of parenting and fostering healthy family bonds.

Inspired by the goal of seeing more families experience healthy connections, Ann transitioned into clinical social work, where she continues to help individuals and families navigate life, break free from limitations, and discover the good stuff that propels them forward while making their best effort every day.
