    Simply Being Wellness Counseling is a therapy and wellness group practice located in Farmington, CT. We believe wellness is a right for all humans and aim to make mental health care accessible to communities of color through therapy and wellness-minded events.

    If hired, you will be joining an intimate, yet growing, collective of therapists united in our mission to simplify mental health and promote healing in our communities.

    We are seeking a skilled, diverse, licensed mental health professional to join a team of BIPOC clinicians. The ideal therapist will be skilled in clinical interventions, able to provide culturally competent and trauma informed care, and will display an ability to showcase their expertise by providing workshops, groups, and/or online learning tools. This hybrid position requires at least two days in-office and one evening for clinical sessions.

    What we ask of you:

    Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC) are all encouraged to apply.

    Minimum of 2 years post independent licensure Clinical license must be in good standing in the State of Connecticut

    Have a personal computer with reliable, private internet connection and a secure home office for telehealth

    Respond in a timely manner to email communication

    Familiar with: Google workspace, Electronic Health Records Systems, Health Insurance Lingo, Slack

    Identify and apply personal clinical theoretical orientation to variety of mental health presentations

    Knowledge of DSM 5 diagnostic criteria and assessment, ability to form case conceptualization and apply appropriate interventions based on client presentations

    Ability to demonstrate clinical competency

    Awareness of clinical limitations and ability to seek consultation when limitations are present

    Administrative requirements:

    Complete initial evaluations and all documentation within 48 hours

    Provide trauma-focused and integrative counseling to individuals, couples, and/or families

    Create comprehensive treatment plans on intake and treatment reviews every 90 days

    Experience with charting electronically through an online electronic health (EMR) system.

    Maintains client confidentiality; adhering to professional standards and the agencies policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local requirements.

    Keeps accurate documentation and billing logs

    Maintain a caseload of 15 clients (part-time) or 25 clients (full-time)

  • Position Overview: 

    Simply Being Wellness Counseling is seeking to hire 1 Clinical Lead. Clinical Leads are responsible for overseeing and developing the clinical staff of Simply Being Wellness Counseling . The Clinical Lead will provide clinical supervision and consultation as needed to clinicians, support clinicians in following policies and procedures, and promote a positive work culture. The Clinical Lead must also provide a minimum of 20 billable hours per week (40 per bi-weekly cycle), in addition to the approximately 15 hours per week for Clinical Lead duties. The Clinical Lead must have a positive and supportive approach towards Simply Being Wellness Counseling , its employees, and clients. 

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Supervise and oversee a sub-group of clinicians of Simply Being Wellness Counseling.

    • Hold interviews with candidates for employment.

    • Communicate/coordinate with the Hiring & Onboarding team when new clinicians are hired.

    • Understand and follow all policies and procedures of Simply Being Wellness Counseling as a Clinical Lead and clinician.

    • Be proactive and responsible in holding clinicians accountable in note content and timeliness, marketing/blogging (if applicable), and overall performance of their job duties via a hybrid of in person and virtual check-ins.

    • Support and plan professional development offerings for clinicians.

    • Facilitate annual performance reviews with clinicians.

    • Check in bi-monthly as a group with other Clinical Leads and Clinical Director regarding processes and/or procedures, including proposed changes, clinical issues, and successes.

    • As needed, provide formal individual case consultation to fully licensed clinicians at 30-minute intervals. 

    • If applicable, provide formal individual supervision in 1-hour intervals to provisionally licensed clinicians.

    • Collaborate with Clinical Director in offering bi-monthly clinical consultation groups.

    • Manage designated clinician sub-group and provide accountability, performance evaluation, hiring, and structuring of the clinical team.

    • Conduct intake calls and sessions when additional clinical support is needed 

    • Facilitate clinical transfers when a clinician transitions out of the practice 

    • Proactively work towards improving the practice’s client experience and ensure client satisfaction by way of supervising clinicians.

    • Collaborate with the Clinical Director, Billing Specialist, and Client Care Coordinator on improving overall client and employee experience.

    • Ability to identify areas where we need improvement clinically and in client experience and initiate the improvement measures.

    • Perform a minimum of 20 billable hours per week in addition to Clinical Lead responsibilities which are estimated at 15 hours per week

    • Stay highly organized. 

    • Maintain high attention to detail and ability to prioritize various projects independently.

    • Be passionate about working with others (being collaborative) and helping our team members grow and learn.

    • Handle and provide straight-forward feedback to leadership and clinical team members.

    • Problem solve and think ahead to ensure any challenges don’t greatly impact progress or outcomes for clients. 

    • Set goals and develop achievable timelines to hit them. 

    • Other Clinical Lead related duties may be assigned.


    Qualifications and Skills: 

    • Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in counseling or social work; and

    • Active, unrestricted license (PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT or LPC) in the State of Connecticut (must be fully licensed).  A copy must be provided to Simply Being Wellness Counseling.

    • Must be in good standing with the Connecticut Department of Public Health. 

    • At least 5 (five) years of experience post-unrestricted licensure 

    • At least 1 year of management and/or supervisory experience

    • Critical thinking and attention to detail

    • Highly organized

    Compensation:

    Employee will be compensated twice per month (bi-weekly) as follows:

    • Flat hourly rate for Clinical Lead role 

    • Tiered pay structure based on billable hours completed each week

  • Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (1099 Contractor)

    Location: Hybrid – One day in-office at our Farmington (Forest Park) location, one day remote

    Schedule: Minimum 2 days/week

    Compensation: $60-75/hour (depending on experience and credentials)

    About Us:

    Simply Being Wellness Counseling PC is a growing mental health group practice committed to providing high-quality, trauma-informed care in a warm, collaborative environment. Our team of licensed clinicians supports individuals and communities through therapy, intensives, and wellness services. We are now seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team as an independent contractor (1099) to provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and collaborate in treatment planning.

    Position Overview:

    As a PMHNP at Simply Being, you’ll provide psychiatric care to adult clients (and potentially adolescents, if desired) who are engaged in ongoing therapy within our practice. You’ll be responsible for conducting initial psychiatric evaluations (intakes) and managing follow-up appointments for medication management and consultation. The schedule includes:

    ● One day in-office required, the other may be remote

    ● Collaborative case consultation with therapists as needed

    Responsibilities:

    ● Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments

    ● Provide medication evaluation and management

    ● Collaborate with referring therapists on integrated care planning

    ● Document sessions in EHR (Simple Practice) within 24 hours

    ● Respond to client inquiries related to medications within scope

    ● Provide culturally responsive and inclusive care

    Requirements:

    ● Licensed and board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) in the state of Connecticut

    ● You’re a fully licensed psychiatric nurse practitioner with your DEA or CDS number, ANCC board certification, a valid NPI number and malpractice insurance.

    ● You’re looking to start or expand your private practice while maintaining control over your schedule, client load, and work environment.

    ● Minimum of 1 year experience prescribing in outpatient mental health

    ● Strong communication and documentation skills

    ● Comfortable using telehealth platforms and EHR systems

    ● Liability insurance required

    Preferred:

    ● Experience working with adults with trauma, anxiety, or mood disorders

    ● Ability to prescribe for adolescents (if applicable)

    ● Interest in integrative or holistic wellness approaches

    Compensation:

    ● Competitive hourly rate of $60-75/hour, based on experience

    ● W-9/1099 status; practitioner is responsible for own taxes and malpractice insurance
