ADHD Evaluation
Understanding Your Mind: Comprehensive ADHD Testing for Teens and Adults in Connecticut
At Simply Being Wellness Counseling, we believe clarity is the foundation of healing. Our ADHD evaluations for teens and adults provide the insight you need to understand your brain, honor your strengths, and create a life of greater ease and authenticity.
ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects focus, impulse control, organization, and emotional regulation. For many helping professionals and high-achievers, ADHD symptoms can remain undiagnosed for years—masked by coping strategies that eventually become unsustainable. If you've struggled with chronic overwhelm, difficulty completing tasks, restlessness, or feeling like you're not living up to your potential, an ADHD evaluation might be the first step toward understanding yourself more fully.
An ADHD evaluation can help you:
- Understand whether your struggles with focus, time management, or emotional regulation are related to ADHD
- Identify your unique symptom profile and how ADHD shows up in your daily life
- Receive a comprehensive written report you can share with medication providers, therapists, or employers for accommodations
- Gain clarity about co-occurring conditions that may be impacting your well-being
- Access resources, tools, and next steps tailored to your needs
- Move forward with self-compassion rather than self-criticism
You deserve to know how your mind works—and to have support that honors your journey.
WHAT OUR ADHD ASSESSMENT INCLUDES
At Simply Being Wellness Counseling, we believe clarity is the foundation of healing. Our ADHD evaluations for teens and adults provide the insight you need to understand your brain, honor your strengths, and create a life of greater ease and authenticity.

What our ADHD assessments include:
Our ADHD evaluation process is collaborative, thorough, and designed with your experience in mind. The assessment is completed over three sessions and includes:
Session 1: Initial Clinical Interview
We'll explore your history, current challenges, and what brings you to testing. This is a space to share your story without judgment.
Session 2: Testing & Questionnaires
You'll complete evidence-based assessments that evaluate attention, impulse control, executive functioning, and emotional regulation. These include both self-report measures and standardized online testing.
Session 3: Feedback & Resources
We'll review your results together, discuss what they mean for your life, and create a plan for next steps—whether that's therapy, medication consultation, workplace accommodations, or wellness strategies.
Written Report
Within 30-45 days of your final session, you'll receive a detailed written report that includes your diagnosis (if applicable), clinical impressions, and recommendations. This report can be shared with healthcare providers, schools, or employers as needed.
WHO WE SERVE
Our ADHD evaluations are designed for teens (ages 13+) and adults who are seeking clarity about their attention, focus, and executive functioning. We work with helping professionals, students, parents, and anyone who suspects that undiagnosed ADHD may be affecting their ability to thrive.
Many of our clients are high-functioning individuals who have developed coping mechanisms that no longer serve them. If you've been told you're "too smart" to have ADHD, or if you've struggled silently while appearing successful on the outside, we see you—and we're here to help..
